Hello Future!

With the the passing of the winter solstice just hours ago, I am so happy and relieved that the days are once again getting longer.  We need the light.  I need the light.  Our hemisphere needs it.

No one can convince me that 2012 will be just another year.  Even if all the hype should turn out to have no basis in scientific fact, huge and growing segments of many cultures now believe  – or is it just hope (and does it matter which)? – that we are entering a time of awakening to a brighter, fairer, and more compassionate way of behaving toward and with each other.   And, perhaps only because of this feeling, this groundswell of collective emotion, whether you call it belief, hope, or any of a number of alternative descriptors of a powerful inner force for change,  it’s happening – all around the world, around me, and most likely around you too.  Because it is not yet mainstream, we just have to look a little more carefully to see it.

That, my fellow shifters, is the inspiration for this blog launch, a desire to find and share what life on the planet is transforming into as the very process of awakening itself may be “going viral”  – spreading a world view that is determined to make a space for everyone.
